overall people are overidentifying with their gender. surely it'd be better to see gender more as an aesthetic than as this deeply essential, integral component to who you are.

not living up to gendered expectations in your society --> severe distress and existential burden and this sense of nihilism/meaninglessness regards to gender --> creating the "manosphere"

i mean gender is a tool of oppression after all. creating a hierarchy that puts men above women
but gender can also be a source of pride, community, identity,,,,,,
also you can't really abolish gender without also dismantling capitalism, patriarchy, racism,,,,,,, etc. etc.
